Children in our school also do Sports, Art & Craft, Computers and occasionally take field trips to Galleries and Exhibitions around Dublin. Our school tours give our pupils exposure to valuable cultural experiences and an understanding of Irish history.

Holy Spirit Boys and Girls School started on Monday 3rd July 1967 with 164 boys and 160 girls on the roll. Soon afterwards it was split into separate Boys and Girls Schools. At one stage there were around 1100 pupils enrolled. Past pupils of the school include the Oscar Winner Glen Hansard and Philip McMahon, cornerback on the Dublin senior GAA Team as well as Davy Byrne the former goalkeeper on the Dublin Senior Gaelic Football Team. Those of you familiar with the film "Into The West" will remember the famous Ballymun flats and towers which are now gone.
